I just wanted to wish everyone a blessed and happy Easter. I love Easter. It's great to be forced to spend time reflecting on the sacrifice Christ made and the hope we have now because of it. Here's one of my new favorite songs. It's called "Glorious Day" It's on the newest Todd Agnew album, but it's actually an old hymn by Rev. John William Chapman. It's beautifully written and expresses perfectly what Christ did for us, much better than I could express it - and with more rhyming.
One day when Heaven was filled with His praises,
One day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,
Dwelt among men, my Example is He!
Living, He loved me;
dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!
One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,
One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected:
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!
One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,
One day the stone rolled away from the door;
Then He arose, over death He had conquered;
Now is ascended, my Lord for evermore!
Living, He loved me;
dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!
One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,
One day the skies with His glories will shine;
Wonderful day, my beloved ones bringing;
Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!
Living, He loved me;
dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!
Memorable Verse
"But you, O Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham, my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am our God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41: 8-10
"Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?" - Derek Zoolander

Thanks for posting those lyrics! Next time, record yourself singing them and then post that. OK? =)
Very up lifting Noves. I get to see you in 2 weeks Yeah!!!
Thanks for posting one of your "new favourite songs." The usual title in most hymn books is One Day. It certainly fits the Easter season, as you note. But as I write it's Christmas morning, and it works for that too.
Praise God that our Saviour came to this earth as a baby, that He willingly went to the cross, and rose from the dead, and that we look forward to His return.
