Memorable Verse

"But you, O Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham, my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am our God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41: 8-10

How to look like Spiderman, according to a 5 year old

I don't have any pictures of this, which is too bad, because they'd be really great if I did. Anyway, on Thursday, Olivia's friend Kiran and her nanny came over to play. We let the girls play upstairs in Olivia's room, for possibly the last time in a very long time. Why? What could they have possibly done that was that bad, just playing in Olivia's room? Well, they decided that they wanted to look like Spiderman. And apparently they needed to be red all over to do that. So what did they use to be red? Markers, paint? No, no. They used Carey's bright red fingernail polish. They managed to completely cover their hands and their shins. I think they must have run out of polish, or else decided they should wash up before we found out. So, about 5-8 minutes after they went upstairs, Tasha checked on them and called down, "We need fingernail polish remover. Lots of it." We scrubbed them in the tub and then doused them and scrubbed them with fingernail polish remover, and then scrubbed them down again, and they were good as new.
They had planned to paint George next, but he said no. According to the girls, "He knew better." And also according to the girls, "Our head said we shouldn't do it, but we still did it." It wasn't such a big deal, except they got it on Olivia's carpet. We had a neighbor Google it and she found out that Windex takes it out.
